I loved watching the Bruins and Penguins play today, and it wasn't simply because of the high quality of hockey. For me, it was a great experience just because of the jersey matchup. The Penguins have some of the best jerseys in the league, and the Bruins have great road and home sweaters. So, I tried to come up with the top 5 home jerseys in the league, today. The main criteria was ranking the jerseys that are most often used at home. So, you won't be seeing any Bruins gold jerseys. You will not see any 3rd jerseys. Without further ado, these are the top 5 home jerseys in the league today. 5) Pittsburgh Penguins. Great sweaters. They have always been great. I even think the old Lemeuix/Jagr jerseys were better than these.
4) Detroit Red Wings. Classic says it the best. Simple and great logo. Two colors, and no crazy stripes or patterns.
3) Boston Bruins. I am a sucker for gold and white on a black jersey. And for me, the B is the best logo in the league.

The old orange jerseys are great too, but we are going with 1st jerseys today. I think the orange stripe that separates the black from the white makes this jersey look sweet. Also, it goes unnoticed, but the orange stripe around the cuff of the jersey is a nice touch. Shut up, it's Academy Awards night. I can get detailed about the cuff colors.
1) Chicago Blackhawks. What a great logo. This one, as well as the Cleveland Indians logo, are some of the best indian logos in the game. Red, black, and awesome colors on the face of the Blackhawk. Can't beat this jersey in a million years. I remember Chris Chelios manning the blue line in a close version of this jersey.

I have loved the Penguins jersey since the first time I played NHLPA 93 for Super Nintendo. They were sick then, and have maintained the great quality even though they have changed it up a bit. I still think my favorite hockey jersey of all time is the Gretzky LA Kings jerseys. Black and silver. Can't beat that.
Yeah those were good. I just thing Pitts Logo is so shitty. It looks like something a 4 year old would draw. And those colors? Black, booger yellow, and white. Eh. Not feeling it. Leafs sweaters have been classic since day one!
