Bruins Win, Ryder Tossed

The Boston Bruins beat the New York Islanders 3-2 on Long Island for their second consecutive victory. Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Marc Savard with the goals tonight for the Bs. Tim Thomas was huge for Boston once again, stopping 37 of 39 attempts. If he can get hot, the Bruins will have a potent 1-2 combo in net.

Michael Ryder received a 5 minute major and game misconduct for boarding, after his hit on Blake Comeau. This was a ridiculous call, as Comeau went really low into the boards. There was nothing Ryder could do about it, and frankly, he didn't even hit Comeau that hard. The NHL should put a rule in place that allows the refs to look at these types of plays and then reverse game misconducts when needed. Ryder is a big part of the Bruins offense, and losing him for a period is a very tough thing for Boston.
